I appreciate I may get some frowns - but I have a quandry!
Having watched hours untold of video on youTube and read reviews till my eyes ache - I set out to by a "suitable" quadcopter to learn on - so I ended up online and made an order........ 8 days - so far and I am not sure if they have actually processed my order other than taking my cash from PayPal!
Not wishing to repeat the hours of aggravation trying to get sense out of this "well known" Chinese online supplier - Ships in 24 hours - really means - you wish!
Add to that although I am well acquainted by eBay and its Chinese based suppliers taking 3 or more weeks to deliver anything.
I decided that the aim of buying a cheaper quadcopter to learn before a serious investment was too traumatic!
I am not sure I have the mental agility to fly a 250 racer or burn motors out over stressing some of the more agile quads - My interest apart from the flying - is photography.
My aim was to get ready to cope with the DJI Phantom 3 and all its fancy "flying aids" like push button to take off etc,. .... so why not start with that and its available at a walk in store one hours drive away from me!
Which bring me to choice of.... Advanced or Professional. The only difference being the Pro has faster recharging and a better camera. But its not real "Hollywood movie" 4K.
Others are using add on cameras - Hero 4 seems to be popular - but the DJI stuff is not interchangeable!
So I would like to ask any owners of either of these DJI models for their advice.
Faster charging is dealt with by buying one or two spare batteries with the money saved buying the "Advanced" version. Anyway... who can recharge batteries while out flying??
So its really down to the camera, is there a real need for the 4K version for "home movie" videography?? or worth the additional AU$450 to get the Pro version.
PS: if I ever get it.... anybody want to buy an unused - still in a sealed box Syma X8W - white
