DJI Phantom 1.1.1 internals

I recently acquired a Phantom 1.1.1 for a song and need to decide what to do with it now. It was in pretty rough shape after taking a hard landing with 3 days of weathering in a field. My buddy tried to ebay the remanants of the quad and the transmitter without any luck. So it sat getting into even worse shape (literally) in a box in his hot attic. I pulled everything apart today and managed to get the Naza V2 to power up...cleaned/tested the motors, and blasted the bearings clean. It's currently hooked up to a Turnigy 9x with the stock 8ch rx.
Being that my only real quadcopter experience has been with RTF stuff, should I just attempt to find another P1 or (preferably) a P2 shell? Or should I shop around for another frame to use the internals and motors with?
Any advice is appreciated.

Hi mate its easier to get a P1 frame and fit parts in , if you fit to just any frame its a little harder due to placing the parts in the good position so it will work right the GPS is protected by the phantoms body its not really made to mount outside the body , can still be done tho , you also need to be able to set up the NazaM, as it stands its set up for the phantom so it should fly well as it is
