DJI A2

So! i decided to get a Dji A2 Fc and have a go with this....

just one observation and it was on my maiden test flight. In gps mode, the quad was turning counter clockwise, and took a full stick of right rudder to stop it, once i released the stick the quad carried on turn in a circle (tight circle, not toilet bowling!!!) when i parked it up i noticed that two of the motors were hot compared to the other two, cant remember if the CCW or CW were hot but the other two were cold, confirming that something is wrong somewhere. anybody every come across this? I've got a few bits to go through but thought id pick your brains before i started?

cheers Billy

Don't know about the A2, but with the ZYX-M you can have troubles if:

1) Accelerometer and compass (most important) are not calibrated
2) GPS puck is not pointing in the right direction.

A2 is a great controller.

Tough situation to trouble shoot.

Do the motors spin freely?
Are the solder joints compromised?
Is the radio calibrated?
Is the radio calibrated to the flight controller?
Have you tried swapping the escs if the motors do spin freely?

Hi Ringalong,

not 100% sure what you mean by "motors spin freely" yes they do but with some resistance, radio and FC all Calibrated correctly. i went through my check list

level the motors on the arms, which were all pretty close but i wondered if a prop was way off!
double checked all my settings in the assistant! fine
calibrated imu and compass
checked esc and noticed a lose connection? double checked all connections.

all worked, i think there was some lose connection and the Imu needed re calibrating as i kept getting 4 flashing green lights!

thanks for you trouble shooting help.

have you every used the quick release prop adapters? i had them on as its a big girl to move around with the 15" props and one came of yesterday whilst doing the test flight, not to much damage but wondering if i should get rid or persevere?

happy flying!
