DJI 4 Care

Hi guys,

I’m planning to buy myself a new DJI Phantom 4 but am struggling with care packages for drones and insurances and so on. Well, I got some information bout it in that article http://www.drohnen.de/11319/dji-care-fuer-dji-phantom-4-garantieservice-und-kaskoversicherung/ but really don’t know whether it is worth the price and if it is necessary. Also I’d like to know when DJI care package is valid after purchase…..so, maybe someone of you has got some experience concerning my problem and might help?

I bought the DJI care, I think it's pretty cheap insurance. I crashed another phantom and parts get expensive fast, the price of the DJI care is slight in comparison to a new camera etc. You only have 48hrs after you activate the drone to purchase and register. Other than that they have two plans, one for six months and a year. Six months is ~$250 if my memory serves me correct and one year is only $50 more at $300 so this was a no-brainer IMHO, I took the one year coverage. I hope I don't need it but if I do...I'll be glad I have it, You're really just purchasing "Peace of mind".
