hii guys
i am pretty new to quadcopters and i am trying to build one by myself. I purchased 4 mini brushless (16mm) motors with propellers from ebay, i got the Transmitter and flight controller for 300Rs or 5$ but the problem is that i don't know which side is the front of the flight controller. so guys please give me some advice on this topic.

FCs orientation are usually identified by an arrow, but in this case I don't see one. As motor connections are most always on the side and power connections at the rear, my guess would be that the front id where the antenna is located. To be sure, just connect the board to whatever software configurator you are going to use. You'll see a virtual image of your quad and it should react in the same way you move the board. For instance, if you tilt the board forward and the image tilts back, you know you have to rotate your board 180 degrees. Hope that makes sense

All that being said, looks like a brushed flight controller to me. Do you have a link to it?

No i don't have the link to it as i purchased it from the local part dealer. Also tell me which software i can use to connect it to my laptop and how to use it.

Just put it in, the worst is it flies backwards to the frame orientation. Then just spin it round if it wrong. Those dinky toy boards have different motor placements so be careful.

is a cf/BF quad but toys are usually different.

I did this but now one of the motors is not working properly the other three are perfectly working nd the fourth one is not spinning properly. I replaced the motor but still its not working. The other three motors are lifting it properly but the fourth one spins at a very low speed, sometimes it doesn't even spin. I am using 3.7 v 180mAh battery. i think the battery is not able to provide proper current

OK, makes sense now. Your OP is a little misleading as you're actually using brushed motors. Not much can go wrong with a setup like this, so if motor 4 is not spinning up like the rest, first I would resolder all the connections in case you have a cold solder. If that doesn't work, I would swap motor 4 with one of the other motors. If you still have the same problem, at least you know it's a problem with your flight controller and not your motor.

The next time you buy a cheap $5 board grab all the info you can on it. Google it
Bookmark it for future reference.
Before it disappears altogether.
Be quick with that soldering iron, those boards are easy to kill with heat.
