Hi all hope you are all fine and well,

im currently my first ever fpv drone build is going great and almost finished

im having some issues connecting to betaflight! i have downlaoded all the relevelent files and drivers,

my FC shows in my ports tab in device manager

but i keep getting this series of logs and i really dont understand what its saying

2018-09-23 @ 10:42:54 -- Serial port successfully opened with ID: 18

2018-09-23 @ 10:43:04 -- No configuration received within 10 seconds, communication failed

2018-09-23 @ 10:43:04 -- Serial port successfully closed

im assuming i need to connect to betaflight to install the firmware for the FC so needs to be resolved before i can go any further

the only thing i havent done is use zadig to convert the driver when i did do this it dissapeared from my device manager and did nothing at all

thanks in advance for your help

Try a different USB cable. Many people think they're all the same but there is a data transfer cable and just a charger cable such as what you use to charge your phone. Only data transfer cable will work

i used a genuine samsung cable so i assume this is a data transfer cable? im stumped as to what it could be, my laptop says it can see it, but beta flight wont connect to it only in CLI mode? which i assume you cant flash firmware to from that mode?

Was hoping someone would take that and run with it.
If you type in "version" in the CLI it will probably tell you it's running cleanflight. Not that that helps if you don't have the CF GUI.
I don't see any mention of jumping the boot pads. That's worked for me.

When you downloaded the drivers, did you unzip them? Check your device manager, are you seeing the port appear when you connect your USB cable?

Tried using cleaniflight aswell I'm speaking to banggood as I think it's faulty. Since the start of this post the FC won't go into bootloader mode anymore either and when the battery is plugged in it does some weird stuff with the motors I've also had issues with the pdb so I have also reported that as faulty to banggood aswell so hopefully will get new ones and try to flash it before putting it on the drone

Sorry you're having so much trouble, goes along with the hobby unfortunately. And that's the thing with Banggood (and Gearbest) Most of their products are cheap clones, and sometimes you get something that works well for a great price and sometimes it's a dud. Hit and miss. Don't know where you're located but I deal with GetFPV, RaceDayQuads and RMRC in the US so I know I'm getting the read deal

I'm in the UK so Amazon is a good place for this sort of thing guess I got unlucky but fingers crossed the replacements will be good. It's asshame the drone looks awesome to me
