Carbon Fiber cutting.

Hi All! It's me again. Even though I am a newbie I am having so much fun building that I am working on three builds a bit at a time. Parts coming in at different times makes this easier than it sounds. One of them involves combining two carbon fiber frames. I will need to cut and shape these to achieve my vision for this quad. I am completely clueless when it comes to working with carbon fiber. How do I cut and drill this material neatly and safely?

I must admit, I am having a ball! I need to stop building and go fly these things at some point. The building is so much fun that I don't get upset at the long lead times for shipping. I just start another one! :D

Ha! A bit too complex for my minimal skill level.......Although the one I have in mind is kinda like the reptile frames. Only, not quite. No more business'. Happily retired. Fun only from now on. When I get this frame worked out I'll send pics. I'm shooting for simple, unique and hopefully a great flyer.

For you, I'd be happy to. Just don't be in a rush. Not only does it seem to take forever for the parts, but I have a couple multi-week motorcycle trips coming up. I started this thread before I ordered anything. I wanted to make sure I would be comfortable working with CF. Stuff is on the way. I'll keep you posted. I still have 2 others in the works! Parts delays are gonna break me! LOL

Wow 2 motorcycle trips you lucky man , waiting for parts a the worse thing in the world it does my head in big time , well take care on the trips my friend

The first isn't until the end of April so I have a bit of time yet. That one is only 16 days. The big one is the first of June and will be about 6 weeks. I doubt I'll have all the parts I ordered before I have to prep for the first trip. I might be able to get the parts to finish the first one before then. No big deal. I'll finish when I get back. It's all just for fun!!
