Build on the cheap

Hi all.
Looking to make a quad fairly cheeply.
The frame will be one I make from wooden dowling (probably 12mmx12mm)
I want to use these motors : EMAX CF2812 (say they can produce 760g of thrust each)
I would like to use these speed controllers: wing 30A Brushless Speed Controller ESC For QuadCopter
Some generic 7x6 blades
MultiWii V2
and a 7.2v 4200mAh battery.
Will this setup work ?

I think those thrust numbers are based on 3S batteries (11.1v). As far as ESC's go, you probably only need a 20A. Everything else should work.

MM. Does this mean they are preprogrammed for lower voltage operation without cutting out for Quads's? What voltage for a 3s?

Sam. Your kit sounds ok to me... just the battery needs more power to spin those motors fast enough - 3S...buy two if you can... you can run 2 batteries for longer flights, or have a spare so you can keep flying (in my case, testing!)

I'm building one too, in my piccy... got it running, but keeps flipping... programming my board is a pain, haha, KKv2.1, but I'm learning so much more this way I think... I decided to keep away from multiWii, something I read about programming them... can't be worse than this tho! My props are pretty battered (waiting for new ones) and I wonder if excessive vibration could be causing the flipping

However, if you want to actually customize your own PC, there are a few rules you want to keep in mind when selecting parts. Make sure to take a look at the socket type on your motherboard, and also whether your motherboard is Intel or AMD. Make sure that these specs match those on the processor you're looking at.
