Beginner wanting to use Arduino

I've started to get into quadcopters and I want to do a DIY project. I do not want to buy a pre-built flight controller(I want to install the sensors on the arduino myself), the issue I'm having is that I can't find anything that says that any of the common flight control software would work on an arduino. I would assume that Ardupilot would work though....

Is there any issues using an Arduino as my flight control board? (I was looking at the due)

Look into the MutiWii, and if you insist on doing it from a vanilla Arduino then look into bluecopter, it will NOT be as easy as it will appear haha.


Also @Nick may be able to help steer you.
