BEC or Opto - Confused

I am in the process of ordering parts to build my quad. Can someone please explain to me if I need BEC or Opto ESC's? I am very confused.

Running off SunnySky 2212 motors, and 3700mAh lipo battery. If more information is need, let me know. I don't even know where to begin.
 
Hi mate some opto dont have a power out for the fcb so then your need to use a BEC to power the FCB ,put a link up for the item and i can look for you
 
Hi mate it has a linear 5v 2amp output so will power the board , a switching output is better than a linear as they can get hot , all i can say is try them check to see if they get hot , if they do then just buy a switching BEC this can be added to the quad any time
 
Since I already purchased it I guess I will just try it. I was going to order linear Afro ESC's from HobbyKing if I didn't order from buddyrc.com. Is there a particular ESC that you would recommend if these get too hot for me?
 
Hi mate i think it will be ok for the quad but is you find in the summer that they do get hot i will find you a good BEC to fit , watch the video it will tell you about the BECs in the ESC
