I'm new to this whole subject so I hope you all don't mind some newbie questions. I keep seeing this quadcopters that have low flight times like 7 or 8 minutes. What prevents me from using a bigger batter? I mean are they already carrying their maximum load and thats why people don't put longer lasting batteries in them?

HI mate its all to do with weight , if the quad is heavy it flys badly and eats fight time so putting more batteries on will have the same ending as its now has even more weight it eats more battery , we get round this by putting low kv motors and large props and this will give us the flight time we want up to a point , my mate made a mighty midget has 3 batteries and will hover for 1 hour
