Moderators I really don't know where to put this.
I think it is time to learn about Nav points, GPS, and programming by an interface instead of the display on the KK2.1 board. I would like to work my way up to more advanced things that these deltarotors can do. (Since the news I am calling these drones- deltarotors.) It's Greek with the same last name as my site.
So where do I start? Is there a site for dummies like myself to learn about this?
Is there some to do list on the do's and don'ts of what to buy, how to hook it up, and what not to do?
What software would someone suggest? I downloaded Mission planner, and I bought an x copter from HK that uses the multiwii interface. To be quite honest I am still learning how to fly that little thing. :p
Obi wan Kenobi help me.:) Or am I beyond all sings of hope??:(

I'm glad you started this thread. I am wanting to advance my understanding of the terminology and programming regarding flight control too. I've always been a gear head so I do great with the mechanical end, motors, props, frames etc., but my brain refuses to grasp the programming end. My controllers and ESC's are all plug and play while the rest of the quad is mostly scratch built. I feel I am missing out on a potentially interesting part of the hobby. I even struggle with programming my Tx's! It's just not intuitive to me. So far, all the so called beginner help sites assume you have a working knowledge of this stuff. Some real help for "dummies" would be great!

Hahaha, multirotors cover a really wide range of topics. It is one of the topics that hardware that affects the world around it meets software (robotics).

Choose the flight controller you think fits your needs and the easiest place to find info on setting these up is probably youtube. Anything you still have questions about the forums is a great place to clear that type of stuff up.
