Apm 2.8 - How to wire to PDB

Hello,
I am building my very first drone and I am super excited but I have 1 problem so far. My flight controller(apm 2.8) comes with a power cable but I'm not sure how to wire it to my power distribution board.

Have you perhaps had a quick glance at the APM manual? Th ecables are for a lot more than just power

So I just looked into it more and it looks like the flight controller gets its power from the esc's. Would I be Correct to assume that?

It depends on what ESCs you are using. If they have a built-in BEC then yes, they can be used to power your FC. But if they're opto ESCs, you will need a 5 volt regulator to power your FC. This a better option IMO
