Another newb that needs help

I have been flying a little blade inductrix around the house for a couple of months and decided to build the Mr steele 5'' edition alien. I followed this youtube vid,
*NEW* Mr Steele Alien 5" build w/ KISS PDB
I have most of the items listed in his build.
I was able to bind the radio to the receiver.
I have been trying to work with beta flight and the kiss fc set up.
Not sure i am totally understanding the procedures.
I think im close but haven't been able to get it flying.
 
Kiss is a different flight program than betaflight. Although it may run on betaflight you would be best downloading the free kiss flight program. Which board do you have. As it says in the header above, kiss pdb.
 
Maybe try asking Mr. Steele as a comment on the video where he does this build? I don't know if he responds to questions, but other builders do so may be worth a try.
 
Ok , I just checked out his build video and yes if this is your first build then you may be a bit over your head as this is a fairly complex build. But don't get discouraged, every build follows the same basic procedures. Plus we're here to help. If you can give us an exact list of the parts you have and a few photos of where you are at in this build. Do you actually have it built and are just struggling to get it programmed and off the ground?

ok, so this is where i am .
I was able to set up a model on my taranis x9d and bind it to the x4r . I believe i have it wired and set up correctly.
A few days ago i had down loaded the kiss extension onto google chrome and was able to see that the kiss fc has the firmware version 1.2 and showed it was activated. I figure this was enough to get started.
When the battery is connected fc shows a green light.
Do i need to upgrade it or install some thing ? This is as far as i have got.
I have kiss esc 24v they show a blue light when the battery is connected.
Motors dont spin.

I must say that's a very clean build for your first, well done. Looks like everything's wired up correctly and all you need to do is set it up in Betaflight.

Ok so i have the Kiss-GUI-1.16.15-win-x64 down loaded and i can connect the fc to it and it says i have firmware version kiss fc 1.2 then a bunch of serial #s ( activated).
I can move the quad around and see it move on the screen.
Is this as far as i need to go with the fc.
On the configuration screen i made settings per a you tube tutorial.
Because if so the motors still do not spool up.
Im still missing something.
