A few questions

Hello everybody. First I hope everybody is being healthy and safe during this quaratine period.
I have been a drone user off and on for the past 5 years having been through my crashes and a few drones.
I currently have an older Parrot Bebop and just ordered a Hubsan X4 Pro 501SS.
I like the Hubsan because of the controller is separate and dont have to use my phone.
I been seeing alot of the sumulators that people are using to practice on now and have no idea which sim would come close to flying a Hubsan.
It seems that you have to use some sort of joy stick to use on your pc.
Anybody can help me choose something simple to use and hook up...
I have been googling and more i google the more i get mixed up.
I guess LIFTOFF is what most are using but but then i need to get some sort of a joystick and try to hook it up to the computer.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thks
Alex

Hi. Thks for your reply back.
I am in USA. I was looking on Ebay , and i think i am going to see if i can use a game pad for the Pheonix. The controller is too expensive .
I have setup free flight and i can use a gamepad. Its on Steam for only 5.00.
I am not a game person so all this in all new to me.
I am also setting up a controller to use for my older Parrot Bebop for under 40.00, lot better than the Parrot Sky controller for 250.00.
Thks again
Alex

That's not a bad idea but what you need to do is use the same type of controller as you plan to fly with because your thumbs and brain learn the feel of how to move the sticks

Yes you are perfectly right, its hard to find a controller that is like the Hubsan . from what read you cant use the Hudsan Transmitter to practice on the simulator.
I did pick up a cd of an older version for Phoenix on Ebay for 12.00. Lets see what this is capable of doing.
Thks again for your reply.

Hi Alex keep us posted on how you get on , the older version of Phoenix will automatically upgrade to the latest they have updates for life
Did you get the lead with it I am sure it needs a special lead to work on the pc , this lead plugs into the back of the transmitter ( spektrum only ) , they do a dongle but this I think only works with only spektrum transmitter again

i will...i am also working on my older Parot Bepob. Finally got it working again, i cant seem to get the wifi extender ( Xioami ) working again. Every time i try setting it up its telling me something different, and its seeing what it should be seeing but the light still blinking yellow, if anybody out there has worked with this type of extender let me know.
thks
