custom flight controller

Hello all! I'm a noob to the makerspace as a whole (outside of 1 strongly-scaffolded uni assignment, I've never built a mechatronic thing). In spite of this, I've got it through my head that I'd like to build a quadcopter, and what's more, I'd like to implement my own flight control loop...
