battery choice

First I have a Hubsan H501S, standard remote with fpv screen (first quad)...question is what rechargeable AA batteries would any of you suggest without any modifications to the battery carriage area. I've seen where some have cut out the AA carriage and replaced with some other type battery hook...

This question came up while exporing my disappointing endurance result (see thread). The consensus pretty much is that I have a weak battery, and I'm thinking about buying one of these Turnigy Graphene 4S 6000 mAh lipos. But on another forum, a guy suggested that my 4S, using 1553 props was too...
