Thanks @holtneil , I think my next challenge will be seeing the joints, my eyes are getting no better, the most frustrating thing of all is I used to be a welder, could see a crack in a hair, but this has all changed as of late, just hoping to get this quadcopter built before I run out of time.

Thanks @holtneil , I will look at the videos linked, I did find many soldering videos, but not any so far that stated what size tip to use, they sometimes gave temperature used. I have ordered a good selection of tips which should arrive in a few days.

I am hoping to build my first quadcopter and need advise regarding soldering. I bought a HAKKO 888DX, will this be adequate even for the heavy battery connector cable. I would also like advise on what tip or tips to use, I note there are very small pads on the FC along with some larger ones...
