Just came across this at gearbest while making a purchase. Shows the different ends on batteries which are available for syma which i was not aware of until your post. Up to this point i thought all x5A and x5c drones used the same connector when in fact that is not neccessarily the case...

I agree the Visuo XS809HW is the better purchase. Gearbest have the 2mp camera for the same price as .03mp so grab it! Keep in mind that camera's on drones in this price range are not great! However this drone is a great flyer and should be purchased for that alone! lots of mods on the net...

The 5A seems to have a different connector as you pointed out! It says that x5c use the same charger for both 5a and 5c models but if you look at the end connectors they are different. so you probably only need this. Syma X5HC X5HW RC Quadcopter Spare Parts 1pcs Battery adapter cable...
