Do your new ESCs have a BEC (5v output)? Did everything work before the ESCs had to be replaced?

Are there any marks caused by a screw indenting the coil? Could have shorted through the bell across to the other coil on that same phase. While the magnetic force is usually enough to hold it in place if you were to punch out and then cut throttle the magnetic force would not be too strong...

I would double check motor directions and motor layout and then try to take off. You get a little interference when taking off as the air you are pushing down is reflected back at you.

Yes, it is probably a GPS/Magnometer combination so moving it away from the ESCs should help.

Move the sensor out onto the arms if possible.

Could be a bad sensor as well if it is not EMI. I would try the external sensor if possible.

Buying Frsky would be nice, though just getting into the hobby that would probably be a bad idea. Can you just connect the Rx that came with the transmitter to the quadcopter are the connections different? Also, I have an Emax Babyhawk. Fun little thing to fly for sure.

Is the compass mounted near an ESC or motor? If you have 4-in-1 ESCs you may need an external compass if you can't add more separation.

They aren't spinning the same speed because the quadcopter is trying to stabilize. If you hover too close to the ground the air you are pushing down reflects off the ground and comes back up at you. You may need to adjust your PIDs to get better stabilization if you don't hover very well...

You are going to need lightweight materials, here is a 3DP prop designed for low RPM https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:264438 It doesn't look like it would fly IMHO, but you might increase the surface area and make it lighter. Take a look at microfilm aircraft as well.

Is it required to be a "quad"copter? Also, I'd suggest higher voltage low KV motors and a lot more surface area on the prop if you want to get off the ground. Do the propellors need to have 2 blades?

As for shipping LiPo Batteries you really aren't allowed to carry loose lithium batteries, I generally put them in my laptop case though and have sometimes used enclosures that do no real task (might even be an all plastic XT60 with a switch on the side (DJI batteries shouldn't count as loose)...
