Shot my first 4K video. Made the video from about 20 minutes of filming thanks to some nice light

It is Shelter Cove off of Pacifica. I used Pinnacle Studio ultimate 20. I just built a new computer specifically for video editing so it did not take too long. I would say about an hour. My old computer took forever to render.

This was shot with a Phantom 3 professional.

    Syma X8Pro?

I own the great x5 and owned 2 X8'S at one point but could not really get into them. They just seem to be a little sluggish to me although nice and steady like the inexpensive X5. I got lucky and bought a broken one off of eBay for $20 that would not armed. I opened up the remote and saw a wire...

    6S 10,000mAh Vs. a 6S 12,000mAh. (non-scientific experiment.)

Like I said, non scientific experiments. They are different brands.

Check out all my drones. Is this normal? I just can't get myself to part with them

Check out all my drones. I really need to sell one. If they were your drones, which one would you let go of? I just can't get myself to do it. I love them all :-) I don't know if my wife is aware of the problem.

    6S 10,000mAh Vs. a 6S 12,000mAh. (non-scientific experiment.)

I agree and disagree with you. By adding an extra battery, if you do it properly, it will not necessarily affect the aerodynamics if the battery is balanced properly and the additional weight is not to the front, back, or side, but simply centered. What would be affected is the motors ability...

    6S 10,000mAh Vs. a 6S 12,000mAh. (non-scientific experiment.)

I was bored and stuck at home with a bad back so I made a video comparing a 6S 10,000mAh Vs. a 6S 12,000mAh. It was a very non-scientific experiment. Wanted to see if the heavier battery with slightly more capacity would last longer than the lighter battery with slightly less capacity. I flew...

Used duct tape to eliminate gimbal vibration

Well yeah, but it worked :-) the idea wasn't to rebuild the cheap gimbal but to modify it slightly to make it work better. We Are Men dammit. We don't mail order balls :-) we use the balls we got, and we use duct tape.

Used duct tape to eliminate gimbal vibration

I used duct tape to eliminate the vibration on my Walkera gimbal. A cheap fix that can probably be applied to many other gimbals. I will be experimenting a little more with this.

1st flight after rasing the props on my homemade quadcopter.

LOL!!! I told mine I was building a time machine.

1st flight after rasing the props on my homemade quadcopter.

I get about 11-12 minutes but when I built the thing I used carbon fiber sheets that were too thick. (the squares in the center) I plan on building another one soon using all I have learned from this, my first. How to hide another project from my wife :-) I do love flying this thing but could...

1st flight after rasing the props on my homemade quadcopter.

Made a slight improvement in efficiency and now I don't have to worry about the props taking out a wire or hitting the frame.

Fixed the dealing flaw on my homemade quadcopter.

Had to raise my props a couple of inches due to them coming extremely close to the frame. A couple of times one of the props skimmed a screw on the frame. I was also scared one of the wires would get cut off and my beloved drone would come tumbling down to earth.

Design flaw in my homemade quadcopter

I didn't account for the amount of flex with the 17 inch props. One of them is just skimming a screw under stress as in when making a sudden turn or stop.

Attached a weight to my drone to drag stick off greenhouse roof

The hose wouldn't reach and the lowest point is about 14 feet in the air due to being constructed on a hill. Besides, what fun would a broom or rope have been? :-)

Attached a weight to my drone to drag stick off greenhouse roof

Exactly, due to the extra weight the props had to create more downdraft which probably helped push the stick off.

Attached a weight to my drone to drag stick off greenhouse roof

Turns out I didn't need to but at least I got to fly.

Future home of the Golden State Warriors.

Construction has just begun. This video is of the future home of the Golden State Warriors. It was shot with 2 quadcopters, a Phantom 3 Standard, and a couple of days later, the Phantom 3 Advanced. When viewing the footage on my computer, it became apparent the footage from the Advanced was of...
