Unfortunately this seems to be something of a common issue with the X380. I'm a (recent) member of a Facebook group for these models ("XK Detect X380 Owners") and there seem to be far too many very similar postings to mine.

I've just ordered a CC3D from HobbyKing, and just yesterday downloaded OpenPilot's 15.02.02 sw (they state that the CC3D controller is not supported under their latest release 15.05.02, and as you rightly mention) Perhaps try directly accessing their download page here...

They do offer spare arms, but I haven't read many reviews of those breaking, so didn't order any. The later generation arms have a carbon rod insert through them, so I guess there may have been a problem with earlier model arms breaking, and this was deemed the appropriate fix?
