My recently-built S500 frame (also from Hobbyking) is essentially the exact same frame as the one you are considering. As you'll see from the link, this kit came with 2212 motors, 15A ESC's and 9" props. I'm very surprised to see HK recommending* 10-12" props for essentially the identical frame...

Mine are omnivorous - in addition to their staple diet (LiPo's), they are also quite partial to props, time and money.
