I was talking about replacing an entire motor from what i understood the mounting screw was stripped. But if a prop screw is missing that can be bad to use 3 screws because of balancing. I'd rather use 2 screws than 3 if its a prop adapter screw.

If you're using lock tight i wouldn't worry so much about using 3 out of 4 screws. I've ran on 2 screws on 2205/2300kv motors before with a slightly generous amount of blue locktight. Zero problems. :] I am not worried about them coming undone but with 2 screws I was a little worried about...

UPDATE!!! Just learned about something that may have potentially caused this failure. Soldering motor wires directly onto an esc is only supposed to be done if you have a properly grounded soldering gun. If not you can basically introduce static to your esc and cause premature failure. It's hard...

12a escs on a 2205? I'm not super savvy on how the electrical works. But the motors can draw like 24a burst and 17a continuous. I here to over shoot the motor continuous current by 10-20%. That's kind of the only info I have on escs
