I have been following the Drone Frenzy with some interest and mostly amusement. Surprised it is not at least a minor topic on here somewhere. But nada?
Anyway, I thought I would stir the pot a little. And see what we get.
Observations:
People claim drones the size of SUVs. Hmmm extremely difficult to determine size without any visual reference especially at night. So doubtful.
Not real planes. All real planes. Probably some of each.
Navigation lights. Yeah well all planes real or not. Drones or not. Have lights. Well most drones. Which leads to the next point.
If these drones were nefarious. Why would they leave lights on and be visible?
Foreign origination? Yeah, Iran sent them. They have enough issues over there.
U.S. Military Industrial Complex? Since everything gets blamed on them. Ahh lets test our drones at night with lights in Jersey.
U. S. Intelligence? I hope they are smarter than that LOL
FAA. Ahh well mostly clueless unless you are near an Airport and the they don't know what to do with drones besides try to regulate.
Which leads me to my theory.
The FAA regulated drones to have a Transponder a few years ago. Which best I figure is not worth anything unless you are flying on top of a control tower. LOL
A bunch of drone aficionados got together one day on a forum, not this one. And decided to fly all at once at night to mess with the FAA. And it caught on after the pubic freaked out . And now dozens if not hundreds are joining in to share in the fun and mayhem. And it has mutated to other states.
Anyway, that's my story and i am sticking to it.
