    Batteries won't fit charger

Yes, the cheap battery was reading 4.2 volts after charging....... strangely, after it lost power it still read 3.8 volts. I then tried a genuine Syma battery and that also read 4.2 volts after charging....... but ran the 'copter for 11:56. Just put that battery on my monitor and it won't show...

    Batteries won't fit charger

Here's a caution - Just bought a Syma triple Charger for charging the push-fit batteries on the Syma X5UW - I also bought three batteries from a different supplier. Alarmingly, they won't actually fit into the charger's recesses more than about 1/4 of an inch ! - They are so tight, you can...

    Canon battery on Syma X5C

I'll solder a Syma lead onto the tags of a NB6L and let it hang. do a steady flight (no stunts !), and see what kind of duration we get. If it's an improvement on the original battery, then I'll do some surgery and fit the battery receptacle from a charger into the body of the copter and make a...

    Canon battery on Syma X5C

I'm wondering if I'd get a decent flight time using a Canon camera battery - NB-6L, and additionally a neater and much faster replacement time. They are 3.7 volts, 1100 mA/h. I already have a number of these batteries which I use on my camera, plus the charger of course. I get an amazing number...

    Posting or exporting movies

I certainly hoped it could. But nothing has changed. Can't get the Syma video to appear anywhere except on the Syma app's screen. There's a number of apps claiming to be able to do this. I downloaded several but none of them work. Indeed, the reviews on the apps adverts confirmed as much ...

    Posting or exporting movies

I've got my Syma wi-fi cam running on my X5C-1 - and viewing it on iPad using the Syma App. It saves the movies fine into its own folder, but I can't find any way of moving them onto my PC or sending them as an email. The App doesn't have any facility for accessing the files, other than watching...

    Forwarding or exporting movie clips.

I've got my Syma wi-fi cam now running on my X5C-1 - and viewing it on iPad using the Syma App. It saves the movies fine, but I can't find any way of moving them onto my PC. The App doesn't have any facility for accessing the files, other than watching / deleting them. They are saved into some...

    Reversing joystick on Syma X5C-1

I have another R/C vehicle (a boat), where the throttle works the opposite way........ I keep moving the throttle on this new quadcopter in the wrong direction. I'd prefer to harmonise the two machines. Since asking my question, I've opened up the transmitter of the Syma to install a proper 2.4...

    Reversing joystick on Syma X5C-1

On the left-hand joystick, I'd like to reverse the power direction (the forward / back movement on the joystick). Is this possible ? - I haven't opened the transmitter yet up to check if it's hard-soldered directly to the PCB or if it has leads connecting it to the board.
