$1,000 Budget !! Please help me build one.

I've got around a $1,000 budget and Im aimingfor endurance for long flight time and the ability to still be relatively nimble in the air. I will be adding a gimbal and GoPro later. I like the QAV500 with 540mm arms and the flight controller will be DJI Naza M v2 w/ gps and compass. Please help me decide what the best combo of parts I can get for the money i have available. Thanks all!

Long times = Long arms + large props + low kv motors + large batteries. Not sure if you will get nimble out of this combination.

Tarot 650 or x4 may suit you for your requirements. You could look into the Tarot 680 or x6. The x4 can spin 24 inch props!

You will also want a high output charger too for larger batteries if you don't have one. I just upgraded mine, and it was one of the best investments that I have made to date :)

Sure depending on mah, and voltage. One 10000 mah @ 14.8 volts will not run as long as two 6000 mah @ 14.8 volts in parallel.

I don't think I'll run into any problems with lift so I might run two in parallel. Now, my biggest question is which combination of motors, props, speed controllers, and batteries I would need to get good performance with high endurance.

You could perform some youtube searching to see different setups, how they fly, and how long the flights times are. Don't forget the flight controller :)

I think I got what you have on your list here... (a little over 11 minutes)

Could get 300k/v motors and size up the props, because a 900kv motor can handle 12'' well. Also note that the excalc does conservative estimates.

How long are you looking to get?
