Early on Yuneec offered a q500 with a CGO2 camera that had a horizon-distortion fish-eye lens. Then they offered another model with the improved CGO2 camera. Then came the q500+ with the 4K CGO3 camera. Now suppose we want to buy a per-owned q500 on Ebay. How do we tell these models apart? Many Ebay listers pay little or no attention to making the specific model clear to prospective buyers. "For Sale: q500. used" is not adequate info to risk $375 + shipping.
Occasionally the Yuneec Model numbers are listed but unless you can identify what thesenumbers mean, the information is useless. For example I've seen YUNQ4KUS and YUNQ4KPUS and YUNQ4KTUS listed on Ebay but from looking at the pictures of the drones could not see any difference.
I want to buy the q500 with 4K and a CGO3 camera model that straightens out the horizon line. Does anyone know how to identify the Yuneec q500+ (plus) using their Model Numbers? My guess is to translate YUNQ4KPUS model that the 4K means 4K and possibly the PUS means plus? Why don't these companies make this easier? Forget about adding a + to the name. Call the new model by a new name Yuneec "Kamakazi" or something. Make the new drone body neo green or purple. Then we can identify it. This is not rocket science...or is it?
