X8C Help needed desperately!!!!

Greetings...new member here.
I just received a SYMA X8C for Christmas, and have broken 2 props within 5 minutes!

The problem is twofold:
a) The "instructions" that come with it are terribly translated and barely make sense.
b) Upon takeoff, the copter pitches hard to the right and digs into the ground, the carpet...whatever surface I am trying to takeoff from. It doesn't even get airborne!

I realize there may be a bit of a learning curve with these things, and I generally consider myself to be fairly intelligent...but this thing is making me look like an idiot, and I'm close to packing it back into the box and leaving it there for my grandchildren (whenever they are born).

Does anyone have some easy to read/understand directions on how to get this thing off the ground?
I'm running out of spare parts and it hasn't spent 20 seconds in the air yet.

NOWHERE in the "manual" is this mentioned...crazy.

OK, I had an A prop where there should have been a B...and now I get lift off.

Well....you can add me to the list of sad-sack droner wannabe's....I just watched my X8C disappear into the horizon after it caught some wind up high and flew out of range.
I have my phone number on the body...but given the neighbourhood(s) it may have reached, I don't hold out much hope.

Thanks to everyone that helped me get it off the ground...I guess I'll stick to Dual Sport riding.

Dude, that's awful! Is there any way to track your phone?
 
It doesn't have my phone on it...just the number.
I was able to get a compass bearing on it, but given the altitude it was at....she's probably in Kansas by now.

It's OK...I've accepted that she's gone.
