Turnigy 9x ' Trainer ' Port

Hi Guys

Just a 'quickie' here.

Try as I might, I've been unable to verify exactly which kind of plug and cable to use on the above transmitter to use it to control a Flight-Sim.
(Specifically: FPV Freerider)
Mono Plug or Stereo Plug ??? (ie Tip and Sleeve or Tip, Ring and Sleeve ?)
I have both, but don't want to b*gger the whole thing up, or blow anything !

Secondly is there anything additional I need for this sim to run with the Turnigy ?
(such as a Mono/Stereo - USB Dongle Connector or anything)

Got it running at the moment with a simple PS2 USB Gamepad but it's like hyper-sensitive on or near take-off, and not adjustable exponentially.

Well I use a Flysky i6.

The cable I got looked like this one (FS labelled).

Is this it? Maybe. Mine has a label that read RM185 on it. Works fine on Win 7. I needed one of the larger din plugs for my radio.

This one looks like it but the model number is different FS-SM100. Read the reviews, seems like it will work for you. They say it's FS branded.

Aha ! That's the ' USB dongle' I mentioned, which obviously has a Tip/Sleeve (ie Mono) Plug on the end.

Curiously, some descriptions make it sound like you just buy a double ended lead.
One for the Tx and the other plugging directly into your Soundcard microphone jack on your pc, with no mention of a Dongle.

One thing you mention may be a possible stumbling block, is my operating system, Windows Xp.
I already suspect some flight software may not be written for Windows versions earlier than Vista or even Windows 7, so guess I have to bite the bullet and upgrade to an unfamiliar O/S ?
Perhaps someone can confirm ?
