syma x5c wont sync

hi can anyone help please got my son the syma x5c for xmas but it wont sync looked on line on how to sync on all threads the lights flash quickly then slowly then you sync my one the lights flash quickly then goes steady for about 20 to 30 seconds then flashes slowly but the controller wont sync can anyone help please thanks

You are starting with the throttle down then pushing it up top then down I assume?

On the lcd screen, what is the antenna light doing. If it is steady, it is connected, if it blinking, it is not establishing a connection.

when you try to sync the controller the light flashes then goes steady on controller but quad stays flashing
