Selection of motors and battery pack

There's a competition in my college, in which we have to make a quadcopter which can fly at the height of atleast 1000ft for 1hr.

I am totally new in this project. I need the formulas to calculate the motor and battery specification. Please help me in this regards
 
Thats going to be a hard one to get that flight time my mates gets 19 mins at 1000 feet this is his video
