HobbyKing is now selling a fully authorized CC3D board for $32. I'm assuming this should perform as well as the one from OpenPilot. I've used the CC3D from OP for two different builds and it worked out very nicely. It seemed a lot more stable than the KK boards I was using before it, but those were older versions, so I'm not sure how it compares now. At $32 though, it's definitely a good alternative!

If anyone gets the HK version of the CC3D, I'd like to know how it works out. I might even pick one up and switch it onto the current build I have that has a OP CC3D to see if I notice any difference or if it's just as good. I just hope I get more time to do all of the experimentation I want to do!
