Hi Guys,

I'm been bitten by the Quadcopter Bug especially after seeing some arial footage captured using a Quadcopter... so I search online for info and was overwhelm by the shear amount of info that I need to comprehend. No wonder this isn't a hobby for the weak hearted. Anyway I sign up in this forum to get some guidance on quadcopter from the very beginning till the end.

some of the question that I have in mind:
1) What is the difference between a X and + design quadcopter?
2) I would prefer a fully autonomous Quadcopter using an arduino. What are the sensors that I need to maintain stability ?
3) If I wanted to carry a 4kg load without considering the motor, frame battery and also circuitry, How do I design for that? What are the things that i need to consider
4) I would love to get a minimum of 15 minute flight up to one hour flight. but half an hour would be great

thanks for reading and any suggestion are welcome.

Sincerely

Ashraf

Hi mate X frame has 2 arms to the front + has one, if your having a camera mounted may be the X would be better as you can keeps props out of the shot more with the X
As for the FCB I have No dealings so one of the other guys will help ( but were is the fun in flying if the quad does it for you) the fun and enjoyment is in the flying
4kg with all other parts is going to be heavy so may be look at hex frame
I think your be able to get 15 to 20 mins but 30 to an hour is going to need some very big mah batteries and the quad or hex being as light as poss which it cant be if you want to lift 4kg plus its own weight
take a look at this one it will give you an idea of what can be done
