Hello all thanks for your time and expertise. My name is jay. I am a paramedic/firefighter for a small department in ny. I am looking to get a drone that will be used sporadically for some search and rescue. Was looking for something very easy to fly. Automatic return to pilot. And maybe has either night vision or thermal capabilities. And a reasonably decent range. Was thinking maybe a mile or more. Did some quick google searching. But figured I’d talk to some people with actual experience. Thanks again and have a great day.

Hi Welcome to the forum , most pros use one of the DJI drones they will do everything you need , I know the UK police use the DJI drones fitted with upgraded camera that has night vision and thermal performance they are not cheap but will be worth the price and yes they are easy to fly , may be worth going into DJI web site and ask about camera upgrades etc so it fits your needs
