New Blade 350qx quad and go pro

HI there is 2 problems with the Blade 350 qx , first one is the blades snap , the new blades are now thicker at the hub to stop this , the second is the go pro works on 2.4g the same as the transmitter and you can get control problems and can make the quad crash , horizon hobby has info on there site about both problems , so please check the site for updates

I own the new Blade 350 qx and can verify that the new "B" blades are NOT really much better than the original. They are too flexible, still have a weak point around the hub and the front props strike the quadcopter frame when in flight which is what's probably causing most of them to snap off mid flight. I suggest taking them off and adding prop adapters. I got mine from RC PITSTOP and now fly my 350 qx with carbon fiber props.

As for the 350 qx and GoPro cameras... The Gopro ( and other cameras ) interfere with the GPS signal on the 350 qx, some people were covering their GoPro's with aluminium foil but this looks ugly. I opened up my Blade 350 qx and lined the inside plastic base at the front where the GoPro gets mounted with copper tape. this has TOTALLY solved the GPS signal loss problem caused by the GoPro camera for me.

Thanks Tony , for the update ,this will help any one that has one or buying one , this is why i asked MM to start this section , i have seen a few 350qx with standard quad carbon fibre blades fitted , they just put a nylock nut on the shaft would this stop the problem your having

I'm not sure I understand what you mean ?

By putting the aluminium prop adapters on the 350 qx it has made the props sit slightly higher which prevents any props from hitting the frame.

The copper tape fitted inside the 350 qx has created a shield between the Gopro and the GPS antenna which was only a problem when I started to record. I would have a solid green light indicating GPS lock but as soon as I pressed the record button on my GoPro 2 then the green light would start flashing indicating that it had lost GPS and was now looking again. Turning off record would get my GPS signal back almost instantly. I was going to cover my GoPro waterproof case with copper tape but found someone on YouTube who had used aluminium tape inside their 350 qx so I decided to go with this fix because it looked neater, plus I like to use my GoPro for other things too so didn't really want it all taped up.

Hi Tony the nut was to hold prop on instead of a cone screw(spinner)

Anyone ever use a jvc addiction cam? With blade 350qx or dji phantom?
