For your first quadcopter, I wouldn't suggest going for something too expensive. Most likely, you're going to crash quite a lot in the beginning (don't worry, it happens to all of us).
I suggest the Hubsan X4. It's cheap (less than $60), it's durable, and it's super fun to fly. The more expensive model has a 2mp camera that can take stills and shoot poor quality video. However, the cheaper model without a camera might be a better choice, simply because the camera isn't necessarily worth it.
Once you get comfortable flying, I'd upgrade to something like a DJI Phantom 1 or 2.
