Hi
So I am new to RC drones having got a budget toy one as a boys-toy Christmas present. It is nothing special, and not meant to be, however I am really enjoying the use of it. It's branded as a DBPower Hawkeye Quadcopter, but uses UDI 841 parts.
Finding parts seems to be an issue on the web but that's not needed at the moment, what I really need is more batteries as you only get 10 mins out of one 1-hour charge.
So my question is what can I safely buy that is compatible. Supplied with the quadcopter is a 450mAh 3.7 volt Li-Po battery. If I find one the same size, can I upgrade to a 500mAh model? And what is more important, to stick with the 3.7v or the 450mAh values? It is a flat connector with two spades, just didn't know the risks involved in using Li-Po batteries more powerful than those recommended, and whether it would actually charge from USB or not.
So, in summary, really enjoying the new challenge of flying a miniature drone, I just want more batteries charging on the side to get more time in the air!
Thanks a lot for reading and hopefully helping too!
Paul.
