I'm just starting with quadcopters and would like to do a build where I can program and build all flight controls and sensors myself. I'm fairly experienced with electronics and hardware but I have no experience with multirotors.
My goal is to use a raspberry pi 2 with a gps unit, accelerometer, gyro, barometer and a stereo webcam. This may require an extra arduino board as well.
It seems like the DJI F450 frame with the DJI E600 propulsion motors, props and ESC's would do the job for me. Would this work well?
Some further questions:
Is there any documentation which describes the control communications for the DJI Electronic Speed Controllers?
E300 vs E600 or others?
