I have a Blade 350QX2 running Version 2 Firmware with the DX4 controller.
I just replaced the main board because it got shorted out. I have replace every other sensor also, GPS, Compass. I have installed the new board and sensors and have calibrated everything.
The new board does not play the happy tone while booting up like the old board did and it has a red flashing light when first turned on, then it goes away.
Now I am having trouble getting it to fly steady. In Smart Mode it will sit and hover, but drops a little bit.
In AP mode it flies very erratic. When hovering it drops and will drift to the right and back toward you.
To try and remove the dropping, I have calibrated the Pressure Sensor by setting it in the freezer for 30 minutes and running the calibration routine, but it doesn’t seem to change anything. I have also calibrated the compass and accelerometer several times.
I am not sure what to do with the dropping, but sometimes the drifting seems like a Trim issue, but there is no way to adjust the trim.
Do you have any suggestions?
I thought about upgrading the firmware to 3 but I have read stories of guy having trouble while going from 2 to 3. If I upgrade can I go back to 2?
Can this new board be slightly different from my original in that it needs other settings?
If anyone can help, please do. I am out of ideas.
