I was flying my quadcopter yesterday and a gust of wind whipped up and caused me to crash into a tree. It stayed in the tree overnight and all day today and of course it rained several times. My neighbor, who works for the power company, brought an extension pole home from work and was able to knock it down. Unfortunately I wasn't able to catch it before it struck the ground. It took the brunt of the hit on one of the white rotors. I hooked up a fresh battery to see if it would work and with out engaging the throttle at all, one of the white rotors started spinning full speed. The copter itself never paired with the remote even with the spinning rotor unplugged. I'm sure I'll end up letting the guy at the local HobbyTown repair it, but would love to hear any ideas you guys might have. I'm guessing it's a combination of the rain and the fall, but who knows. I also pulled the card from the camera and checked the flight footage. The video had recorded upside down, but otherwise was fine. I did notice the camera charged up, but now seems to be stuck in standby mode. Guess it's shot too, lol. Maybe I'd be better off just buying a new one.
