Hi!
I've flown a few RC gliders a few years ago and would like to have some fun now and build & fly my own quad copter. I've put together some parts from hobbyking and would welcome input on some open questions and where I could maybe improve my setup!
If possible it would be great if the parts were available in the UK warehouse, and I don't want to spend much money, so I'd rather prefer cheap options for my first build. I just want to have fun building and see it fly with this first one.
I'm pretty much set on this frame, I'd need strong arguments to change it:
H-King Color 250 Class FPV Racer Quadcopter Frame
Hobbyking KK2.1.5 Multi-rotor LCD Flight Control Board With 6050MPU And Atmel 644PA
- I think this is a good one especially since I already have an AVR USB flasher. But here comes the first question: Should I buy this one (50mm) or the mini (30mm holes) - which one fits on the frame without adapter? I couldn't find any measurements.
These ESCs: Afro ESC 12Amp Ultra Lite Multi-rotor Motor Speed Controller (SimonK Firmware) - I could maybe get cheaper ones for £4.60 but that's not a big difference.
These Motors? Turnigy Multistar 1704 2300Kv. I'm not really sure here! They're not available in the UK warehouse, which sucks a bit. It seems a bit a mismatch, since they draw 4.5A max and the ESCs deliver up to 12A?
I have a Graupner HOTT mx-16, with a GR-16 receiver. Will that work? Is there anything else that I need or take care of that the GR-16 works?
I already have batteries and the tools needed. No cables though - any that I should buy in advance, also some other stuff maybe? (preferably all in one go from hobbyking )
Any way anyone can think of to make it even a bit cheaper? At this point I'm just happy if I can build something that flies to get some experience, so nothing advanced needed ;-)
Thank you very much for any help!
