I would personally put some charge back into a flat battery after you have used it and if you plan on storing it for a while, I'd store at approx 3.6V per cell. When it is flat, it is likely to be just above 3V. Lipo's shouldn't be allowed to drop below 3V per cell. A fully charged 1 cell lipo...

Thanks for the reply Ringolong. It's reasurring to hear that. The more sensible option I'm considering is the Quanum Venture, but at £240 it would take me over budget. That said, I can always put off buying the goggles and VRX for a few months as I'll have plenty to learn in the meantime...
