This actually looks kind of cool. Do you have a video how the folding mechanism works with all the electronics fitted including motors and props? What's that plastic on top for? to protect the electronics? I guess that any GPS signal would go straight through it, right?

I actually decided not to purchase the Disco Pro. I am looking for a gimbal system which I can easily attach when required. I want a machine which does both. The QAV400G will be released soon... Is your gimbal on the AD1 detachable?

Or, you just buy an Alex Mos brushless gimbal controller, 2 suiting brushless motors for a gimbal, and make a simple aluminium gimbal for your QAV500. Thats around 200 bucks

As I already own a TBS Discovery, the difference to the QAV500 was too little. This is actually why I ordered the QAV400. It will come with a CC3D (should be in stock tomorrow). I wonder how good this will fly compared to the Naza. What is your flight controller?

The QAV500 is a nice rig. I have just ordered a QAV400 from Tim and am looking closely on the development of the QAV540 with the gimbal. Your new setup sounds a lot better than the old one!

nice. I whished I would have ordered the QAV 500 instead of the TBS Discovery due to its jello free video although I think the Disco is easier to assemble. I have just ordered the QAV 400 and am waiting for it to be delivered.
