Honestly the restrictions on rockets/weather balloons, etc, are way less strict than drones.

Launching model rockets over 400ft is actually fine (with no FAA waiver required), as long as they are a class 1 rocket. Other than that it doesn't take much to get a quick clearance for larger rockets!
