    Syma X5C-1 Rescue

Like most new fliers have crashed a few and finally lost one in a tree. Good news was tree was on my property. Bad news was it was way up there. It was there for about 10 days in rain, sleet, wind, and freezing temps. Finally got it down this evening with help of my neighbor's ladder and a...

    x5c1

For replacement motors for your Syma x5c-1, check out some Ebay sellers. I have 3 x5c-1s (I like them:)) and have been through a ton of motors. Got all 4 replacements as a set for about 6 bucks, free shipping. And it's a USA-based seller. Had them at my door in 4 days.

    how are holy stone quads?

Agree with Mike H. I bought my last U807 (less than 2 weeks ago) from Bang good USA and received it in about a week. Got the no camera version this time. Do yourself a favor and get some extra batteries when you order.

    how are holy stone quads?

I love my Nihui u807. Actually, plural because I have two of them. Bought the white one and then picked up a black version. Great beginner level quads. Good flyers. Fair warning: The manual is indecipherable but there are some excellent YT videos where guys show you how to operate the Tx...

    first flight video!

A couple of things: The x5c-1 will take a beating and then some. It was the one I learned to fly on (actually still learning) and will even survive days out in the weather. Practice, practice, & practice. And then practice some more. This is something that can’t be stressed enough. Recommend...

    Nihui U807 modifications thread.

I liked the Nihui U807 so much (white version) that I just picked up another one in black. These are great performing quads, especially for beginners. Your mods sound interesting and I'll watch the progress but almost have to wonder how much you can improve on these. Good luck!

    SYMA X5C-1 coming soon.

New guy here. I have both the Syma x5c1 and the Nihui u807 and they are great starter quads. Plenty of in-depth reviews out there online so I won't try to rate them. They each have their pros and cons but suffice to say they are decent to learn on, are really stable, and won't break the bank...

how was your first quad copter flight?

Really no idea what I was doing which is pretty scary when you think about it. Read some primers online and started doing simple out and backs and trying to land on a marked spot. That helped, but it really takes LOTS of discipline and practice. And more practice.
