Dang. If it's swelled up chunck as far as you can!! Punctured one with a needle and it exploded like fireworks. Smoked up the house and stinks awful bad. Venting with a blower now! Hope not a health hazard.
"Do yourself a favor get a $10 multimeter."
Don't have one yet.
Guess ya right tho, second, 600mAh battery puffing too.
Bought a 4 batt+charger setup from the slow boat from chiner, probably the prob.
One of my 3.7V 800mAh LiPo's has gotten puffy like a balloon. What causes this and can it still be used? It is not old and has been charged maybe 3 times. Thanks.
Per "Jackson" and I agree it looks like a rebadged Syma X5** series quad. I have Syma X5SW quad and it looks the same. Search for motors using that model.
I wish I had the answer for ya. I ordered all the gear, shaft, prop mount stuff about a week ago for my X5sw-1 for spares. I'd imagine it would take some gentle prying. Maybe Jackson or some of the old pros can help ya with that. That Phantom 3 ought to be a blast.
after being grounded for about a week and a half. Had a hard crash while flying in too much wind and broke a motor gear. New motors with gears arrived this morn. Swapped out the motor and she flying good as ever. More motors and gearsets on the way. I think i'm gonna need em.
Syma X5SW-1
Yep, did the youtube and bing thing this morn and going the board desolder/solder way. In fact, already got the motor off, waiting for the new motor with gear to get here Tuesday, hopefully Monday.
YES!!!! Back in the air. Gorilla glue didn't work, Super glue didn't work, but good old JB Weld did the trick. Time will tell if it holds but I do have few minutes in the air and so far so good.
Dang. Was off today so decided to take another look at my quad. Found the little gear on motor shaft was loose! Trying Gorilla Glue on it to see if holds. If not, any recommendations? Can't believe I've been grounded all this time for that and prob not a burnt motor.
Yeah, and perfect flying conditions now. Still grounded, I think motors finally left China after travelling a week by ox cart. At least they'll be by horse and buggy once they get to U.S. LOL
