First a qualifier. This is not about PC or International Trade or Politics. This is about getting the correct information for the proper use and enjoyment of our hobby. A little humor: "The drone adopt new motor to avoid it burn out, please pay attention to drone knock into tree." Okay, I...

Cant Decide What Quad copter To Get.

As an example, for my Tarantula with 2S 1200 mah batteries, I might be able to use this and get several recharges. Too lazy to do the actual math and besides I would have to go back 40 years to ohms law haha Weighs 1.1 lbs Talentcell Rechargeable 6000mAh Li-Ion Battery Pack ,12V DC Portable...

Cant Decide What Quad copter To Get.

If you rent a car/off-road vehicle to get around in the Icelandic Boonies or in Europe that is your obvious answer. All you need is a small inverter to get some AC. 12 VDC is obviously there. If your hiking and not returning to a car or civilization, I guess you are limited by the batteries...

Sounds like a cool trip! I have been to Iceland and most of Europe. Enjoy! Just a reminder in case you have not considered it. The Europeans regulate the crap out of everything.Make sure you check the laws in every country. Hate for you to have your $$$ drone confiscated. This aint Kansas lol...

    Jello Help

Sort of Hi Jacking this old thread :) I searched "jello" and got seven pages of results (too much to view) and this one was the only one with "jello in the title. I did learn a lot from this thread. Trying to clarify in my rookie mind what causes Jello. Vibration seems like a big culprit. In...

    Flying in heat and humidity..

Roger that, South Carolina had the hottest summer on record, I think. And My wife will attest to the humidity. So far my Tarantula has not complained, wait till I hang my Go Pro clone on it...hahaha As an aside, our brave helicopter pilots had to deal with hi temperatures and humidity in...

    Flying in heat and humidity..

Aerodynamically speaking, the hotter the temperature the less lift any aircraft will have. Full size Jumbo jet or Micro Quad. The colder the temperature the denser the air, hence more lift from same thrust drag etc. Now, having said this, I have no idea to what extent this affects aircraft our...

    Rant

Being Old, I will agree with you...hehehe. Not old enough for "valves" in the RC hobby. I did fly a few glow plugs and such in the 70s and 80s. Whatever is new is not necessarily better. Transmitter it is.

    Cheap FPV for my Tarantula.

The stock Controller/Transmitter is capable of turning Camera Picture/Record on and off. Apparently from the write ups I have seen. It will also control this one. So that is cool! Thanks again. Bill

    Cheap FPV for my Tarantula.

I am still having fun with my el-cheapo Tarantula, but already considering upgrading. I am amazed at how high this thing will go and even more amazed that I can get it back. Especially since I am pretty much surrounded by tall pines and such. Anyway to my question. I am looking at a very cheap...
