Don't drill holes in your landing gear! The symax8 is already very light for its size. Unless you can get into the control board settings, making it lighter will only screw with the flight program. Drones are a highly engineered piece of machinery. You have been warned!

There are usually reverse switches in the controller settings, try reversing the ones that are backwards.

I always make sure my Syma 8x is in high mode before I take off. If the local internet weather site says the wind is over 10mph I won't fly. Re-calibration never hurts. Okay I decided to go into the settings and see if I could activate "throttle hold." Warning: do not turn on "throttle hold" with the controller that comes with the qx90 rtf. It actually acts as a "throttle full" switch.
