First build finally completed completed only only to brake on my first flight

I've never experienced it but I've heard a lot of the quad guys saying the regulated voltage on pdb and fcbs have a tendency to quit working. It's a common problem. The main problem I've had were with the cheaper cloned boards bought from banggood start smoking and just quit working for no...

    Cruising a couple parks

Yeah I've got two quads I fly with air mode not on, just acro. Although you don't have control at zero throttle it still adds a different "feeling" to the flight where I'm used to air mode being on usually. It really makes a difference when the wind is blowing.

Newbie question RE : FPV Goggle

It might be okay if you don't plan on flying very far, those toy wifi drones are only dependable at a range of 30 meters or so.

Newbie question RE : FPV Goggle

That headset with the airhogs is just a case that straps to your head to put your phone in lol. It is a "wifi toy " drone, I don't recommend it.

Newbie question RE : FPV Goggle

For a little more you can get the ex2 mini fpv combo, comes with goggles, drone, and transmitter for $100. I personally own one of these and I'll tell you it is a lot of drone for the money:

Newbie question RE : FPV Goggle

The mavic pro is a "professional" style drone for aerial photography. You basically want to decide what you want to do with it, like do you want to race/freestyle or take hd photos from 400 feet. For racing/freestyle they'll have brushless motors and a 5.8gh vtx, those are the ones compatible...

Newbie question RE : FPV Goggle

That is correct. It looks like a clone of a dji spark or something. The Chinese will take an expensive design and make their own version using parts made as cheap as possible. Not that it's a bad drone or anything, great for beginners so if it breaks you don't destroy $500 worth of high end...

Newbie question RE : FPV Goggle

The toy "wifi drones" transmit a wifi signal that your phone can receive. A racing/freestyle (hobby) drone will transmit a 5.8gh signal (from the vtx) that most goggles will receive because they'll have a 5.8gh receiver. I haven't tried the eachine goggles but it seems I've heard good things...
